"If you are in trouble, if you are in need, just call me with an ‘oop-oop’ and I will come, indeed."
A heroine with an attitude, Super Hoopette is always quick with a wisecrack. She's tough, no-nonsense, and has a vocabulary that dazzles the imagination.
She comes from a little known sub-species of hoopoes, Himalayan hoopoes. They are the strongest hoopoe sub-species, capable of enduring the harshest environments. They are as strong as a bear and faster than a falcon. Flying abilities of Himalayan hoopoes are best demonstrated by the fact that, when pursuing an eagle (yes, they do this regularly), they will quickly rise to an extreme height and often leave the enemy breathless – it is hard to breath without the atmosphere.
For a long time they were unnoticed by humans, until one was recorded at about 6,400m (21,000 ft.) by the first Mount Everest expedition. He came down for fresh water. Now, Himalayan hoopoes are more wary of humans there (for the humans' sake) and are helping Yeti staying unseen and protected. That is the reason no Yeti has been seen in the last 50 years.
In each generation one Himalayan hoopoe comes down among other hoopoes to serve as their protector. Super Hoopette is the current protector of the hoopoes, and the General in Queen Maya’s Hoopoarmy. She is a fearless warrior, hoping that her courage, intelligence, and determination will continue to bring honor to her family and glory to her family name.
She teaches young hoopoes to constantly fight against evil and injustice, and she helps her friends in all circumstances with all the resources that she has. Super Hoopette shows us that all you need is a heart of gold and you’ll be just fine. Having a pair of killer wings and steel-hard beak doesn't hurt either.
