Many believe that being a leader simply means being the first, most important or most powerful. To me, being a leader is much more meaningful than that: I strive to use my intelligence, energy, integrity and self-confidence for the benefit of the entire flock, and I aim to motivate others to follow that very same path. Only together, through accepting and respecting each other, we can achieve all our goals.
Having said that, I couldn’t be prouder of my flock - we fly as one, we work as one, we party as one! We surely do not think as one. In fact, we are a beautiful mess of divergent passions, contrasting thoughts and disparate ideas! We have a sparrow that cannot tweet as one, and a geek that is a Tweeting champion. Our flock has some kind and caring cynics and calculated free-spirits, soft-hearted and absent-minded, sweethearts and brave hearts… We all add that little something into this uniquely diverse hoopoe commune.
What follows is a collection of our favorite quotes, as diverse and messy as our little flock is. As usually, Grumpy-H refused to join us. It’s not like he avoids these kinds of collective efforts, he just takes pleasure in teasing us. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.
My psychiatrist told me I was crazy and I said I want a second opinion. He said okay you're ugly too.
We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world.
All the great things are simple and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.
Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile.
And if a double-decker bus crashes into us, to die by your side is such a heavenly way to die.
Are you seriously asking me about my favorite quote? As I said, I hate quotes. How about: "Life is beautiful when there are no quotes"? Stop asking me these kinds of things, you just made me use 36 words for no reason. Now already 43. Grrrr, just leave me alone!
